Durham Central Park Cohousing is a four-story, self-developed, community-oriented condominium where shared public spaces are as prized as the private living quarters. The building features energy-saving utility systems, expansive windows, and materials and proportions that draw from the commercial buildings in the surrounding historically industrial neighborhood. Durham Coho, as it’s called, represents a triumph of group intention, a turning point for its transitional neighborhood, and a prominent exclamation in the city’s rapidly evolving urban form.
